The Quickest-Assembly Industrial Safety Fencing.
FastGuard, the Industrial Fencing System without posts, integrates simplicity, convenience, and versatility. Like all Satech Systems, it can be enhanced with our range of doors and accessories. FastGuard is well-suited for applications like partitioning areas and safeguarding conveyor belts on automated lines.
Notable Time Saving and Optimal Efficiency
The FastGuard Industrial Fencing cuts assembly time by up to 70%, all while guaranteeing a minimum impact resistance of 390 J.
Great Stability by Design
The tiltable baseplates with 3-anchoring point locking forks seamlessly connect modular panels at the base of our Industrial Fencing. To enhance stability, the upper section is secured using captive retained nuts and bolts or an elastic shaped joint.

Industrial Safety Fencing: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
When is FastGuard the right industrial fencing solution?
FastGuard is the right choice when the project calls for fast installation and the impact risk is limited. Tested to 390 J (288 ft-lb), this system suits machines and installations where the Risk Assessment does not require high impact values: automated conveyor systems, conveyors, light assembly lines, inspection cells.
For environments with heavy industrial robots or significant internal impact risk, ImpactGuard is the reference system.
FastGuard is also used as a partition for zone separation — in warehouses and production facilities — to divide work areas, traffic lanes or AGV zones. In this context it does not function as a safeguard under EN ISO 14120, but as a physical separation element. The distinction matters: correct use must always be determined by a Risk Assessment.
What is the minimum height for industrial safety fencings?
Minimum height depends on the distance between the fence and the hazard point, following the reach tables in EN ISO 13857 and, in North America, ANSI B11.19.
The standard minimum height for FastGuard is 63.8 in (1620 mm). Where the risk of climbing over requires greater height, FastGuard is also available at 87.4 in (2220 mm) and 103.1 in (2620 mm) — the latter only with a 1.2 in (30 mm) frame.
Is the FastGuard industrial fencing suitable for AGV or mobile robot installations?
Yes. FastGuard's self-supporting structure has no vertical posts — instead it uses fork bases that connect panels at the bottom, leaving the floor free and eliminating obstacles for AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and automated conveyor systems at dedicated openings.
With assembly time savings of up to 70%, FastGuard is the ideal solution for logistics and automation facilities where the layout needs to be reconfigured periodically.
Can this industrial fencing be reconfigured after installation?
That is FastGuard's key differentiator. Panels are supported and secured by the same fork bases with a top connection: the 3-step assembly can be managed by a single operator.
The modular design allows the production layout to be reconfigured by reusing the same bases and panels, with no component replacement needed. Our Technical Office is available to evaluate your specific requirements.
Does the FastGuard industrial fencing support OSHA compliance?
FastGuard is designed and tested to EN ISO 14120, the international standard for the design and construction of fixed and movable guards, and is positioned using the reach distances of EN ISO 13857 and ANSI B11.19.
OSHA is performance-based and does not certify individual products: what matters is whether the installed guard protects employees as required by 29 CFR 1910.212. Applied according to your Risk Assessment, FastGuard supports compliance with those requirements.
3D CAD models for integration into your machine documentation are available for free download on TraceParts.
What type of doors are used with this postless fencing system?
Although FastGuard panels are supported by fork bases with no vertical posts, doors use standard Universal posts, drilled on three sides for hinges, accessories and hardware. Universal posts integrate directly into the FastGuard system while keeping the same ease of installation.
Components are supplied in labeled kits including the assembly instructions.
Doors are compatible with the full range of Satech locking systems, from low-PLr devices up to Type 4 Safety Switches, based on the performance level (PLr) determined by the Risk Assessment.
Can the FastGuard industrial fencing withstand the impact of an industrial robot?
FastGuard is tested to 390 J (288 ft-lb) with the 0.8 in (20 mm) frame, per EN ISO 14120 Annex C.
If your Risk Assessment indicates limited impact values, FastGuard is the right solution. For cells with heavy robots or high-energy material projection, the recommended system is ImpactGuard, tested to 2200 J (1623 ft-lb).
Can FastGuard be installed outdoors?
No. FastGuard, like all Satech machine safety fencing, is designed specifically for use in indoor industrial environments. The standard powder coating suits enclosed spaces such as production halls and warehouses.
